"This is my second helmet of this model, the first being a mono-tone color 3 1/2 years ago. I tried on helmets from other manufacturers and liked this one best because the fit was excellent and allowed me to whip off the helmet on fouls without dislodging my glasses. The field of vision is good though it is limited at the corners compared to the flat-mask types. The durability is great - my 3-yr old model is still in fantastic shape considering the 300 plus games it has been through over the past 3 1/2 years (I still use my old Rawlings helmet for practice and my new school-colored model for games). I have taken a lot of hits to the head with baseball bats on follow-throughs and fouls to the mask at the plate with no injuries at all, and very little damage to the helmet. The only problem I have had in over 3 years is one screw on the facemask came loose in year two. The padding is superior to the typical foam padding of other helmets and dries well after a hot, sweaty day. The only compaint I have on the newer model is that I would rather have a dull fgray inish on the face mask like the older model instead of shiny silver. It looks great, feels better and I wouldn't trade it for any other helmet."
